Media users database for ZAPRAF
A system from which Croatian Radiotelevision and radio stations with a ZAPRAF contract download the audio and video works that record labels submit. In daily use.

Challenge
Radio and television stations need new releases from domestic labels quickly and in a broadcast-ready format. Until then, every label sent its recordings to every station separately, so nobody had an overview of who had received what.
ZAPRAF needed a single place where labels submit audio and video works, with downloads available only to media users that have signed a contract.

What we did
We built a media users database: labels submit their works with the accompanying data and files, and every station with a signed contract can download the audio and video once a work has been submitted.
Access is tied to the contract, so it is always clear which media user may download and what they have downloaded. The system operates under the contracts ZAPRAF signed with Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) and HURIN, the Croatian Association of Radio and Newspapers.

Result
The system is in daily use: labels submit each work once and all contracted stations download it from the same place.
ZAPRAF has an overview of what has been submitted and who downloaded what, and stations receive new releases without waiting for individual deliveries.
